Background:
The ISU in cooperation with the Chinese Skating Association launched the first ever ISU Shanghai Trophy, a new event that combines Short Track Speed Skating and Synchronized Skating. The Event took place on March 4-6, 2016 in Shanghai (CHN).
The top five placed ISU Members of the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships 2015 and one Team of the hosting ISU Member were invited to participate in the Synchronized Skating competition. Each team will perform a Short Program and Free Skating program. On the third day of the event, the teams will perform an exhibition program.
